How work flows through

From "can you give me a price?" to money in the bank

Every job follows the same path. Business Buddy keeps it moving so nothing falls through the cracks between a phone call and a paid invoice.

1

Request

Clients reach you through your public request form — every lead lands in the app.

2

Estimate

Build professional bids with line items, then send a polished PDF by email or text.

3

Schedule

Put the job on the calendar, assign your crew, and text clients "on my way."

4

Invoice

Convert the estimate to an invoice in one tap — same numbers, zero retyping.

5

Get paid

Record checks, ACH, Zelle and more. Automatic follow-ups chase the slow payers.

The paperwork, handled

Look like the biggest outfit in town

Invoices your clients take seriously

Send documents that look like they came from a firm ten times your size — your logo, your brand colour, your choice of three professional templates.

  • Live PDF preview before anything goes out — send by email or text
  • Collect payment by check, ACH, wire, cash, Zelle or crypto
  • Know the moment a client opens what you sent
  • Automatic follow-up reminders for overdue balances
Invoices screen with outstanding balances and collect payment buttons
Bids screen showing total bids, due this week, pipeline value, and bids with deadlines and amounts

Every bid, tracked to the finish

Your whole pipeline in one place — what's out, what's won, and what it's all worth. When a bid lands, convert it straight into a project or an invoice.

  • Estimates with line items, validity windows and versions
  • One tap from won bid → active project → first invoice
  • Cost library and assemblies so pricing stays consistent
  • Cash-flow dashboard shows invoiced vs. received at a glance

The job's photos live on the job

Your crew shoots from their phones and it files itself to the right job — not a group text, not a camera roll, not a fourth app you're paying for.

  • Filed to the job automatically by where it was taken
  • Optional date and GPS stamp burned into the picture
  • Share a gallery link with the client — no app, no account
  • Before/after pairs and a branded photo report as a PDF

Search tab with All, Jobs, Quotes, Bids and Invoices filters over a list of recently active jobs and quotes

One tab holds everything

Jobs, quotes, bids and invoices in a single place. Browse the lot when you don't know what you're after, or type a name, a number or an address when you do.

  • Filter to just jobs, quotes, bids or invoices in one tap
  • Search by client, job name, address or document number
  • Opens on your recent work, so it's useful before you type
  • Tap any result to land straight on the record

Scheduling & calendar

Week and day views, crew assignments, directions to the site, and one-tap "on my way" texts.

Timesheets

Crew clock in and out from their phones; you see hours by person, day and job.

Expenses & receipts

Snap a receipt with the camera and it's filed against the job before you leave the counter.

Work requests

A public request form for your website or business card — new leads become bids in one tap.

Job checklists

Walkthroughs, safety checks and punch lists your foremen can tick off on site.

Search everything

One search across projects, bids, invoices and contacts — find anything in seconds.

Who sees what

Your crew runs the job.
They don't see what it's worth.

Most job software gives everyone the same screen and hopes nobody scrolls. Business Buddy gives each person the tools for their job and nothing else — and it's enforced on our servers, not hidden in the app. There's no screen to scroll to, no export to find, no link to guess.

You

Manager

The whole business, no restrictions.

  • Every job, bid, invoice and expense
  • Margins, budgets and job profitability
  • Everyone's hours, and approving them
  • Pay rates, team and company settings

Not sure what your crew can see? Open More → View As and look through their eyes yourself.

Your crew

Foreman

Everything to run the day. Nothing about the money.

  • Only the jobs they're assigned to
  • Photos, daily logs and checklists
  • Their own clock-in and hours
  • Submit receipts from the supply house
  • No contract values or budgets
  • No invoices, margins or profit
  • No jobs they're not working on

Your crew

Estimator

Built to price work, not to read the books.

  • Bids, quotes and the pipeline board
  • Clients and contacts
  • The cost library and assemblies
  • No invoices or payments
  • No job costs or profitability

Need an exception? Grant or revoke a single permission on one person — a foreman who does need to see the budget, an estimator who shouldn't touch clients.

Pricing

Every feature, on both plans.

You pay for seats, not for features. Quoting, invoicing, payments, scheduling, timesheets, photos and job costing are in both plans — the only difference is how many people it seats.

CompanyCam does photos; Jobber does quotes, scheduling and invoicing. Business Buddy does both, so the last column is the honest comparison. Prices are their published month-to-month rates as of July 2026 including their per-user charges — CompanyCam $34 a seat, Jobber $29. Every Jobber plan starts at one user. We compare against their Connect plan, not their cheaper Core, because Core has no checklists, no QuickBooks sync, no time or expense tracking and no automated follow-ups — all of which are in our Solo plan. Jobber currently runs an introductory rate for the first three months; the figures above are what you pay from month four onward.

Prices in USD. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store and can be managed or cancelled there — the prices above are the App Store prices, which include Apple's fee. Paying us directly will be cheaper ($69.99 and $149 a month); we'll say so here the day that's available. Already on the original $69.99 plan? You keep it, with your whole team, for as long as you stay subscribed.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do my clients need the app?
No. Clients get a link by email or text — estimates and invoices open in any browser, no download, no account. You're notified the moment they view a document.
Does it work on a computer?
Yes. Business Buddy runs in any modern web browser with the same features as the iPhone app, so office days can happen on a big screen with a real keyboard.
What can my team see?
Everyone gets a view built for their job: managers see everything, foremen get their schedule, tasks, checklists and time clock, and estimators work the bid pipeline. Nobody wades through screens they don't need.
How do I get paid through it?
You record payments however your clients actually pay — check, ACH, wire, cash, Zelle or crypto — and Business Buddy tracks balances, partial payments and overdue invoices, with automatic follow-up reminders you control.
How does "Refer a business, get $100" work?
Every manager gets a personal referral code and link in the app. When a business signs up with it and stays subscribed for two full months, you earn $100. Your referral tracker shows exactly where each one stands.

Why this exists

Nothing tied it all together.
So I built the thing I wanted.

I own a construction company, and I've run a few other businesses on the side. Every one of them had the same problem: there was never one app that was actually good enough.

One app handled the field work. Something else did the accounting. The jobsite photos lived somewhere else again. None of them talked to each other, so the estimate, the receipts, the hours and the pictures of the work all sat in different places — and it was on me to remember which was which.

That's the part that actually breaks. Not the apps. You start with three, and a few months in somebody quietly stops using one, and now a chunk of your job history is stranded in a login nobody opens. You find out the day a client disputes something and you're digging through your phone at 9pm. It just gets messy.

So Business Buddy is one app. Quotes and invoices, the crew's hours, the receipts, and the jobsite photos — all tied to the job, so nothing ends up somewhere you forgot about.

It's new, and it's me building it. You won't find a wall of five-star reviews on this page, because we haven't earned them yet and I'm not going to make them up. What you get instead is a 30-day trial with nothing switched off, and a "Request a Feature" button in the app that comes straight to me. Several things in here exist because someone asked for them.

If it doesn't fit how you work, cancel in the App Store and you're done. No call, no retention offer, no hard feelings.
